The Host City Information is Tilburg's business card and ensures a welcoming reception. From our physical location at the railway station, the employee informs and inspires (international) visitors and residents about all that Tilburg has to offer.
The Host City Information also sells useful and cool Tilburg products. The neat appearance and timely stocking of the info in Tilburg Brandstore is also organised by the employee. Information can also be requested by phone or digitally; the Host City Information handles these requests. When it is quieter, the employee can be deployed to work in support of administrative tasks for the brandstore.
About the job
Host City Information responsible for Retail & Purchasing, you play an important role within the team and the Brandstore in Tilburg. You will help visitors with information and sales of Tilburg products, as well as being responsible for purchasing and supplier contact.
Activities
- 16 hours per week active in the brandstore: informing visitors, selling products, operating cash register and managing shop stock.
- 4-8 hours per week supplier contact and purchasing of products, including stock management and keeping the shop collection up-to-date.
- Managing digital screens and supporting commercial tasks such as packages and product presentation.
Profile
- Experience in retail or hospitality is a plus.
- Strong affinity with purchasing and product management.
- Commercial, customer-oriented and hospitable with a proactive working attitude.
- Flexibly deployable, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills and an eye for detail.
- Good command of Dutch and English, German is an advantage.
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level.
