She has become one of the leading voices in Portuguese music, with a style that breathes new life into fado in a contemporary way. Cristina remains true to the emotional core of the genre, yet always adds her own interpretation. Her music reflects subtle influences from jazz, pop, and world music.
Due to her intense delivery and powerful stage presence, she is often compared to Amália Rodrigues. Yet Cristina is above all herself: unconventional, free, and always searching for new musical paths.
