Den Kurá Wilhelmina is a participatory art project in Breda, Tilburg and Curaçao. In and around the Wilhelmina Parks, we explore our shared colonial past and its meaning today. Together with Dansnest, DansBrabant and the Curaçaoan community, we foster cultural exchange and co-creation.
Curaçao culture takes centre stage in Tilburg
On Saturday 13 June, Curaçaoan culture will take centre stage in Tilburg with a special programme packed with dance, music, stories and art. During a collaborative theatrical walk, performance, music and dance will come together, revealing how traditions continue to influence contemporary, powerful forms of expression.
Along the way, stories will be gathered and conversations held with participants and creators. These encounters will form the basis for a podcast and a new musical composition.
