Carnival traditionally ends on Tuesday evening at 11.11 pm. Every true carnival lover then heads to ut Stadsforum to end the carnival together with all the pitchers and jugs.
The end of carnival 2025
The last half-hour of Et Sebiet is dominated by the official farewell to carnival. The Prince of Jug City hands the key of the city back to the mayor of Tilburg. He then announces the new motto for the next carnival season. Accompanied by the loudly sung ‘Sebiet dan is ut mèèrge’, the Prince and his entourage then make their way to the Kruikenzeiker. At exactly 11 past 11 in the evening, he removes it from its pedestal and Carnival is unfortunately over again.
