Exhibition The Revolt - Metropolitan Museum
Visual artist Petra Jacobs presents the exhibition The Uprising in the window displays of the Metropolitan Museum. In this poignant exhibition, she gives shape to powerlessness and wonder about the world around us.
The works consist of a series of portraits made from discarded gloves. The ‘astonished ones’—as Jacobs calls her figures—look at the viewer in bewilderment. Their faces reflect powerlessness and a longing for more humanity in times of hardening.
Opening: Friday, September 5, at 8:00 p.m.—everyone is welcome.
