Welcome to 1960s America, a time when everything needs to change. Flashy dance moves, new music, trendy clothes, and eye-catching hairstyles dominate the streets, but society is also ready for change. Tracy Turnblad makes sure of that, together with her mother Edna. When Tracy gets the chance to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show, she jumps at it. It’s the start of her mission to show that there’s a place in the world for everyone, as long as you dance your way through life.
In the musical "Hairspray", dreams come true and change begins with a single dance step.
