This fall, the TextielMuseum will open the exhibition Haus of fiber. Here, you can discover how LGBTQIA+ artists use textiles as a powerful medium to tell stories about connection, loss, and resistance.

The exhibition has been designed in collaboration with queer artists and invites you to step inside a handmade house, complete with living room, kitchen, bedroom, and garden, where each room highlights a different theme.

Haus of fibre not only shows how contemporary artists use textiles in their work, but also offers a historical perspective. After all, textiles have always played a role in the search for identity, in forming communities, and in resisting established (gender, sexual, and intersectional) norms.

This exhibition is for anyone who wants to learn more about queerness, the power of narrative textiles, and the relationship between the two. So welcome, and make yourself at home!
