The feeling of helplessness quickly lurks when you look at the world. Yet there are ways to take action. During the Human Rights Tattoo event on May 18 in Tilburg ten speakers, all wearers of a Human Rights Tattoo, will share how they deal with injustice, and what you can do.

Human Rights with Handholds

The May 18 meetup will be the first in the Netherlands where the HRT community will be seen and heard together in this way. The title, “Somewhere Between a Ripple and a Revolution,” refers to the concept of Human Rights Tattoo. By talking about their tattoos, the wearers cause a small ripple in awareness about human rights each time. Since 2012, this community has grown to 5,534 people in 89 countries, but nowhere are there as many members per capita as in the Netherlands.
