Joy Division Undercover
Joy Division Undercover brings the iconic sound of Joy Division to life at 013 with an intense ‘best of’ live show. A tribute to the influential post-punk band featuring timeless songs like ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ and ‘Atmosphere’.
A timeless influence
Fifty years after the formation of Joy Division, their musical legacy still echoes through post-punk, indie and electronic music. Albums such as Unknown Pleasures and Closer continue to inspire artists and remain a cornerstone of modern music today.
A live tribute
Joy Division Undercover is known as one of the most authentic interpreters of this legacy. Rather than imitation, they deliver a dedicated and powerful performance that brings the band’s intense and minimalist sound back to life. Vocalist Erny Green closely captures the expressive delivery of Ian Curtis, while Henk Koorn (Hallo Venray) and the band convincingly recreate the tension and energy of the original trio.
‘Best of'
At Poppodium 013, the band performs a 90-minute ‘best of’ set featuring highlights such as ‘Disorder’, ‘She’s Lost Control’, ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’. A night for fans who never got to see the original band live, and for anyone who wants to understand why Joy Division remains so influential today.
