Nathan Bell, a singer-songwriter from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, blends Americana and blues in his music, always with a raw edge. His voice, lyrics, and stories quickly draw you in. His songs tackle topics such as injustice, power, and hypocrisy.

Demokrazy

In early 2026, he will release his new album *Demokrazy Blues* under the name of his alter ego, The Right Reverend Crow. Nathan will be joined by bassist Frank Swart, drummer Alvino Bennett—known for his work with Willy Dixon and Stevie Wonder—and guitarist Sean “Mack” Macdonald.

Socially Critical

The music is firmly rooted in Mississippi blues and exudes the raw vibe of the Fat Possum sound. Less frills, more grit. As the son of poet Marvin Bell, his feel for language is unmistakable. His lyrics tackle social issues, and he has a sharp eye for the world and for people who think they can get away with anything. In the role of The Right Reverend Crow, he cuts right through it all without hesitation—direct, unpolished, and precisely because of that, it sticks.
