From Tilburg to the world stage
Ruud Jolie has been the guitarist for Within Temptation – the Netherlands' biggest rock export abroad and an icon within symphonic metal – for almost 25 years now. Born and raised in Tilburg, he knows better than anyone what life on the road feels like. From euphoric stadium shows and tours with names like Iron Maiden and Evanescence to the less glamorous moments filled with fatigue, stress and almost cinematic Spinal Tap situations: Jolie has been through it all.
Unfiltered stories & book signing
In his book In Spotlight And Shadow – My Road Trip with Within Temptation, Jolie shares his experiences, covering both the glamour of success and the rough edges. During Ongefilterd, he talks about this in his own way: personally, honestly, with humour and perspective. Afterwards, there will be time for a Q&A and a book signing. It's the perfect opportunity to experience the stories behind the music up close.
