In a beautiful corner building on Noordstraat, we find the Cheese Shop. A store that every cheese lover dreams of. We spoke to the owner of this cheese heaven.
Whose shop full of cheese is this?
"I'm Esther. With the help of friends, I was able to start my own business in 2013. I can share my love for pure food with all the people of Tilburg."
What makes the Cheese Shop so unique?
"Our specialty in the shop is mainly farmhouse cheeses from the Netherlands and abroad. Farmhouse cheeses are artisanally made cheeses on the farm from their own livestock and raw, untreated milk. Pure nature! Additionally, we have various delicacies to complete the snack board, including local products from small-scale entrepreneurs. All equally delicious."
What do people come to your store for?
“They come mainly to treat themselves to delicious and good food. Here you can find the best cheeses for the drinks board or on bread. In addition, we have customized gift packages or corporate gifts.”
What is typically Tilburg about your store?
“We try to promote as many products from local entrepreneurs as possible. For example, Tilburg beers. Or the peanut butter from Zoete Moed and the honey from the Stadsimker Beezz. We also work closely with local entrepreneurs like Pig & Rye, LocHal, and Locals.”
