Gourmet Market Central Station

Gourmet Market Central Station is a market hall next to the central station. Here, you can enjoy fantastic dining with your partner, have drinks with friends, or grab a delicious quick bite. Various stalls offer food from all over the world.

Who are the entrepreneurs?

Currently, there are 15 independent businesses operating, each with their own global cuisine. The restaurants range from hobby cooks who have started their first culinary adventure to experienced hospitality entrepreneurs opening their second or third establishment. Most of the entrepreneurs come from Brabant, with a large portion of them from Tilburg and the surrounding area. Almost all of them have a special connection to the country of their cuisine, often because they are originally from that country and grew up with their dishes. You can hopefully see and taste this authenticity reflected in the flavors.

What do people come to this establishment for?

"For the immense variety, to taste something they haven't tried before. Because we have so many different restaurants under one roof, there's a good chance that even the pickiest eaters will find something to choose from, and we can also offer something new for culinary adventurers. You can think of a visit to us as a culinary journey around the world, but conveniently close to home in the Spoorzone."

What is the specialty of Gourmet Market?

"Because there is so much choice in terms of cuisine, it's hard to say. Everyone has their own favorites by now. We also have a fairly extensive selection of wines and specialty beers. And one of our specialties is our location. Right in the bustling Spoorzone, we've managed to create a place where you can feel like you're abroad for a moment, find some peace and quiet, but also be back on the platform within 2 minutes."

What is typically Tilburgian about us?

"Many people from Tilburg are understandably very proud of our old industrial building and are therefore very curious about what we have made of it. The reactions are fortunately very good, and people are still amazed by the size of the building and the old industrial parts that are still visible hanging from the roof.

Less obvious, but by now typical of Tilburg, is our international character. Both in the kitchens and on the work floor, and among our guests, all the languages of the world are now spoken. It is beautiful to see that food and drink bring together different cultures, and we are happy to contribute to that."
