Rens Alta Design
Since 1996, Alta has been located on Nieuwlandstraat with, at first, mainly antique, brocante and decorative objects from 1900 through 1970. There is also a collection of reissued lamps from the 1920s and 1930s.
Rens Alta Design
One of the shop's leading collections has interfaces with Bau Haus, Art Deco and Dutch functionalism. The collection is named Giso, after the lamps of the Gispen company; an exponent of Dutch design of the pre-war years. The remakes sold in the shop are inspired by this and are almost identical in appearance.
When you buy something at Rens Alta Design, service is also part of your purchase. The vintage lamps and furniture are checked, restored and repaired with respect for the original design. For lighting, the wiring is checked and, if necessary, renewed as well.
