Tilburg has eight new murals. The viaduct and cycle tunnel on Sint Ceciliastraat now have a colourful and safe appearance thanks to the works. The municipality commissioned the refurbishment project to make the area more attractive and safer.

About the artwork

The murals are inspired by the nearby Spoorpark. The walls feature various bird species that can be found there, such as the thrush. This brings the natural environment of the park further into the city and gives the tunnel an open and friendly atmosphere.

About the artists

The murals were created by graffiti artists Paul Watty, Sidney Waerts and Rutger Termohlen. They combined their styles and talents: from photorealism to clean lines and everything in between. Together, they created a cohesive work of art that breathes new life into the tunnel.
