Cross through Stadsbos013. The forest that covers 2,500(!) soccer pitches.

On the city outskirts, at cycling distance from the centre of Tilburg, stretches a nature reserve no less than 2,500 football fields in size: Stadsbos013. A beautiful mountain bike route has been created here where mountain bikers can have a great time. Several nature reserves come together in this forest: the Oude Warande, an 18th-century Sterrenbos and the Wandelbos, a varied park forest in landscape style designed by Springer. At Heidepark-Vredelust you will discover beautiful estates where woods and meadows alternate, part of a series of estates along the Bredaseweg, built by Tilburg textile manufacturers. The Kaaistoep is a valuable nature development area, home to special amphibians such as the tree frog. The Oude Leij, the upper reaches of the Donge, once canalised but now restored in more and more places as a natural stream.
