A beautiful mountain bike route through one of the largest EU sand areas!

Loonse en Drunense Duinen, located between Drunen and Loon op Zand, is a nature reserve in the vicinity of the Efteling amusement park in Kaatsheuvel. The landscape is characterised by forests and vast areas of drifting sand. The 24.9-kilometre route through the Loonse and Drunense Dunes consists largely of singletracks with numerous short, steep climbs and descents, making it a technically challenging course. The “black” MTB route in the Loonse en Drunense Duinen was mapped out by Natuurmonumenten together with tour clubs. It is a technically medium-heavy route, suitable for the experienced mountain biker.
