Meiro Koizumi
Meiro Koizumi (Japan, 1976) is a renowned artist known worldwide for his video installations and use of interactive elements. His work explores themes such as Japan's wartime past and the erratic workings of memory.
The complexity and fragility of human beings
At the same time, Koizumi explores how artificial intelligence and biotechnology affect our understanding of life. In doing so, he paints a picture of the complexity and fragility of humans. Meiro has previously exhibited at renowned institutions, including the Venice Biennale and the Tate Modern, and has received international acclaim for his challenging and emotionally charged work.
